Light rain in many parts of Karachi

After a week of heat and heatwave, the city of Karachi was surrounded by clouds, making the weather pleasant and light rain in many areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, low pressure in the northeastern Arabian Sea has turned into a depression, which is located 730 km southwest of Karachi in the Arabian Sea.

According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure in the Arabian Sea is increasing towards the west. The low pressure is not intensifying due to which there is less chance of rain in Karachi but there may be more drizzle in some places. 

The system is moving west and southwest, leading to light to moderate rains in Thatta, Badin, Thar Parkar and Umerkot.

The Meteorological Department says there will be a flood in the sea near the center of the system, so fishermen should take precautionary measures.

According to the Meteorological Department, it is likely to remain cloudy in Karachi during the next 24 hours.

If the low pressure in the Arabian Sea intensifies, dusty strong winds could blow, with temperatures likely to hover between 36 and 38 degrees.

The city is experiencing light winds from the northeast with a humidity of around 23%.
