 Nawaz Sharif claims to make missiles through reverse engineering, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan's position also came up

LAHORE: Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has termed former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif's claim of making missiles through reverse engineering as false. According to the daily Jang, he said that when a missile thunders at a place after a fire, it is not technically possible to bring it back to its original state by reverse engineering.

Software plays a key role in reverse engineering, missile functionality and accuracy, as well as the missile must be available in a completely unused state. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan said that all our missiles were made locally which was the result of an excellent teamwork.

I was the Chief Coordinator in the Guided Missile Project in which the body of the missile and all the important parts were prepared by the late Dr. Ijaz Khokhar while the late Dr. Naseem Khan and Dr. Hashmi looked after its software matters.
