Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the head of the administration of the two holy shrines, has inaugurated a robot for sanitizing in the Prophet's Mosque after the Haram Sharif.

According to local media, the smart robot will help in providing environmental cleanliness and disease free environment in the interior of Masjid Nabavi.

The smart robot is equipped with an early warning system and will also sanitize closed spaces.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art camera, the robot will be able to operate without human assistance and surveillance for 5 to 8 hours after recharging the battery.

It has a capacity of 23.8 liters of solution and sprays two liters of solution per hour.

  Eliminates bacteria in a closed area of 600 square meters at a time.

It detects obstacles up to ten meters ahead, before the smart robot was also provided in the Masjid al-Haram.
