No objection to India's good relations with Afghanistan: Foreign Minister
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that he has no objection to India's good relations with Afghanistan.
The Foreign Minister said that in view of the current situation, I am leaving for a visit to the key countries of the region to formulate a joint strategy for the challenges facing the country. I will visit Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran and consult with the leadership there. Yes, Afghanistan is a multi-ethnic country where there are people other than Pashtuns. In this context, we want the government that emerges there to be broad-based and collectivist.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that anti-peace forces "spoilers" are still active in Afghanistan, India will have to give up its limited thinking, it will not do any service to the region if it sticks to the idea of humiliating Pakistan. India has been guaranteeing acceptable relations with Afghanistan. India has no objection to good relations with Afghanistan.
