World Environment Day has been observed on June 5 every year since 1974 to highlight the problems caused by climate change.
Experts choose a different theme each year to celebrate this world so that the same issue can be discussed all over the world on this day.
In 2015, the topic of growing population and resource allocation was discussed and the theme for 2015 was Seven Billion Dreams; One Planet; Consume with Care, meaning "seven billion dreams and one land, just take care."
Climate change and rising sea levels in 2014 posed a threat to the survival of small islands, and the 2014 slogan was "Raise Your Voice, Not the Sea". ۔
The topic of food wastage around the world was discussed in 2013 and the theme for 2013 was Think.Eat.Save, meaning "Think, Eat, Save".
In 2012, the topic of adopting a lifestyle that is not harmful to the environment was discussed and the theme of 2012 was Green Economy: Does it include you? "Green economy, are you involved?"

World Environment Day will be observed today (Firday) all over the world including Pakistan. This day has been celebrated on 5th June every year under the auspices of the United Nations since 1974. This year the theme of this day is "Attracting People to Nature". The purpose of the celebration is to examine the problems and difficulties caused by environmental pollution, which is causing the global warming to reach dangerous levels day by day.Deadly epidemics are emerging. Numerous environmental organizations are fighting to overcome the problem of environmental pollution. With the joint efforts of environmental organizations and scientists, the governments of developed countries are pushing for legislation to tackle the problem of environmental pollution. According to experts, the gradual rise in temperature and climate change due to emissions of harmful gases have affected the agricultural system in different parts of the world, leading to food shortages and rising inflation, especially the poor. The plight of the people of the countries is constantly increasing.Environmental pollution is causing problems. Many glaciers in the North and South Poles are melting rapidly due to environmental pollution, which poses a serious threat of hurricanes, while earthquakes around the world, including Pakistan, due to continued damage to the environment from greenhouse gases. , Storms and other natural disasters have increased,
Which is a threat to the present world and future generations. One of the major reasons for the rapid increase in environmental pollution in Pakistan is the continuous deforestation.
