PML-N leader Captain (retd) Safdar left Aziz Bhatti police station in an armored police vehicle and reached Karachi City Court.

A large number of PML-N and PTI leaders were present on the occasion of Captain (retd) Safdar's arrival in the city court.

According to sources, the police will request the court to get the remand of Captain (retd) Safdar, while the Noon League lawyers will try to stop the police from taking remand.

In which it is said that the case against Captain (retd) Safdar is based on malice, the lawyers of PML-N will be appearing in the court.

According to sources, retired Captain Safdar has also signed the power of attorney.

Sources said that Maryam Nawaz is consulting with Shahid Khaqan, Mohammad Zubair, Muftah Ismail and others to bail out Captain (retd) Safdar or face the situation.

Earlier, in view of the appearance of Captain (retd) Safdar, additional police personnel were deployed in the City Court Karachi. The staff carrying the baton is stationed outside the Judicial Magistrate Sharqi Court while the staff of Bomb Disposal Squad has also reached the City Court.

Bomb disposal staff said that the court would be screened, from the city court gate to the court way, while the court has been requested to screen the relevant court.

It may be mentioned that a case of desecration of Mazar-e-Quaid was registered against 200 persons including Captain (retd) Safdar on the complaint of citizen Waqas yesterday after which Captain (retd) Safdar was arrested by Sindh Police from a local hotel in Karachi this morning.

The claim against Capt. (Retd) Safdar incorporates demise dangers, harm to government property, and an infringement of the Mazar-e-Quaid Act.

Maryam Nawaz's spokesman Muhammad Zubair said that Sindh Chief Minister said that pressure has been put on her for arrest. (R) Safdar was not arrested on the instructions of the Sindh government.
