Decision not to grant citizenship to a Muslim doctor for not shaking hands with a woman
A German court has ruled not to grant citizenship to a Muslim doctor for not shaking hands with a woman.
According to German media reports, a German court has ruled that a Lebanese-born Muslim doctor should not shake hands with a non-mahram woman, saying that he should not be granted citizenship.
In 2015, a woman who issued a certificate of German citizenship refused to give a certificate to a Lebanese doctor because she did not shake hands, on which the Lebanese doctor had approached the court.
A court in the German state of Bartenworthberg ruled on October 17 at the request of a 40-year-old Lebanese doctor.
The Muslim doctor studied in Germany and got a job there.
