Quick bowler Umar Gul has reported his retirement from cricket
Pakistan quick bowler Umar Gul has reported his retirement from all types of cricket. He has represented Pakistan in 47 Tests, 130 ODIs and 60 T20 Internationals.
Saying goodbye to cricket at the age of 36, Umar Gul represented Balochistan for the last time in the National Twenty20. At the end of the match, players of Balochistan and Punjab also presented guard of honor to Umar Gul.
Talking about retirement during the post-match conversation, Omar Gul became obsessed several times and could not control his emotions.
He said that he did not want to give up cricket but one day everyone has to go, this is a stage that everyone has to go through.
On his social media accounts, Umar Gul wrote in a message that he decided to retire from cricket after much thought. Always played with heart for Pakistan and gave his 100% performance. Cricket has always been and will always be my love and passion.
With a very heavy heart and after a lot of thinking, i have decided to bid farewell to all formats of cricket after this National T20 Cup. I have always played for Pakistan with all my heart and 100% of hardwork. Cricket is and will always be my love n passion 1/3

In a message, Umar Gul thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board, coaches and those who lived with him throughout his cricket career.
The fast bowler especially thanked the media and his fans.
On the other hand, former captain of Pakistan cricket team Sarfraz Ahmed praised Umar Gul's brilliant cricket career and congratulated him.
Umar Gul has taken 163 wickets in 47 Tests, 179 in 130 ODIs and 85 wickets in 60 T20 Internationals.
Umar Gul made his Test debut for Pakistan against Bangladesh in August 2003 and made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in April 2003.
Umar Gul played his first international T20 match for Pakistan against Kenya in September 2007.
