Negotiations between the government and Lady Health Workers successful

Talks between the government team and Lady Health Workers in Islamabad were successful. After which the Lady Health Workers announced to end the sit-in.

According to the statement, the government will write a letter to all IGs for the safety of employees during the health campaign.

In addition, the issue of equal pay for lady health workers across the country would be referred to the CCI while the issue of pension and graduation would be referred to a committee set up by the Chief Minister's Punjab Secretariat.

The health workers said that the police complained that our colleague was tortured. We are grateful to Prime Minister Imran Khan for listening to our voice. Committees have been formed to meet the demands. Our demands will be implemented immediately while 3 months have been given for upgrading.

Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan has said that the demands of health workers are being met. The Prime Minister has formed a committee headed by Pervez Khattak.

The lady health workers' sit-in included demands for increase in salaries, allowances and creation of service structure.

It may be recalled that Lady Health Workers had announced to go to Parliament House today. Lady Health Workers had been on strike for six days demanding increase in salaries and annual allowance and creation of service structure.
