Lahore: Prominent former fast bowler of Pakistan cricket team Shoaib Akhtar is unlikely to get any responsibility in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to details, PCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan said that the former fast bowler is very sincere with Pakistan cricket and he has a lot to give him but at present we have not decided on any more appointments. However, during the Corona virus, Shoaib Akhtar, Rashid Latif, Moin Khan, Younis Khan, Muhammad Yousuf and Wasim Akram continued to benefit the existing players from their experience.

He said that all these cricketers want to take Pakistan cricket forward and we will always welcome Shoaib Akhtar and other players to support national cricket while they have been doing so before.

It is to be noted that after the average performance of the national team in the tour of England, news came out that Misbah-ul-Haq has been removed from the post of Chief Selector and Shoaib Akhtar has been appointed in his place. Confirmed to be contacted for comment.

Sources said that the board wants to remove the dual role burden from Misbah-ul-Haq so that he can devote his full potential to focus on improving the performance of the national team while Shoaib Akhtar confirmed that he was approached by the PCB. However, he did not say what kind of responsibility would be given to him. However, cricket experts said that he was likely to be made the chief selector but now he does not see any possibility of getting any responsibility soon.
