Pakistan's first International Taekwondo Olympian Mahim Aftab dies of cancer
Mahim Aftab, 26, represented Pakistan in taekwondo at the national and international levels. She was nicknamed 'Daughter of Vehari'.
Taekwondo champion Mahim Aftab was suffering from a brain tumor and had been in hospital for the past four months. Mahim Aftab also played taekwondo for the Pakistan Army.
Taekwondo Olympian Mahim Aftab was the first woman to win a gold medal in taekwondo competitions and the first female player to win a gold medal for Pakistan.
Mahim Aftab hailed from Vehari, Punjab. Mahim Aftab was also the national champion for seven consecutive years.
Mahim Aftab had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad for four months. Pakistan's best fighter player could not fight a brain tumor.

The PCB, PSB and many famous players are expressing their condolences on the demise of Mahim Aftab.
Sharing the news of the demise of the campaign, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that it was unfortunate that the campaign that had made Pakistan famous in the world had passed away so suddenly.
