ISLAMABAD: Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country has declined in the first quarter of the current financial year as compared to the same period of the previous financial year.

According to the SBP, the country's foreign direct investment (FDI) volume in the first quarter of the current fiscal year was recorded at 4 415.7 million, down from the same period last year.

In the first quarter of the last financial year, the volume of foreign direct investment in the country was recorded at 54 545.5 million, while the current financial year saw an increase in portfolio investment in the country.
