ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a written order rejecting the request of former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif to publish advertisements in London newspapers.


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a two-page written order rejecting the federal petition.


A seat containing Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani gave the composed request.


The apex court said in its order that the Additional Attorney General had sought permission to publish the advertisement in the Daily Telegraph and the Guardian.

The written order states that the purpose of the advertisement is to provide service through alternative means.


The Islamabad High Court in its written order further said that there was no reasonable reason to allow advertisements in London newspapers as well.


In its order, the apex court also said that the federal government's request to place advertisements in London newspapers was rejected.
