Metro case; Shahbaz Sharif decides not to appear before NAB today

 

LAHORE: Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif has decided not to appear before the NAB in the Metro case today.

According to party sources, Shahbaz Sharif will write a reply letter to NAB Rawalpindi and his lawyer Ata Tarar will appear before NAB and get a new date and request a questionnaire from NAB officials.

Ata Tarar will submit a reply on behalf of Shahbaz Sharif to the NAB and will give a briefing on Shahbaz Sharif's absence and answers.

Shahbaz Sharif was summoned by NAB in the Metro case today. NAB is investigating alleged irregularities in the Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro bus project.

According to NAB, Shahbaz Sharif got the contract of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro project to Ahsan Iqbal's brother. The NAB had sought details of the contracts awarded to the company of Ahsan Iqbal's brother Mustafa Kamal.
