The number of mobile phones manufactured in Pakistan is more than the number of imported phones

Pakistan's local mobile manufacturing industry has surpassed the rate of mobile phone imports.

According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), 12.27 million (12.27 million) mobile phones were manufactured in Pakistan during January-July 2021, while the number of imported mobile phones in the same period was 8.29 million (8.29). Million) was recorded.

70,000 (4.87 million) 4G smartphones are also included.

It should be noted that in the light of the Mobile Manufacturing Policy introduced by the Government of Pakistan for the establishment of its unit for manufacturers in Pakistan, PTA issued the Mobile Device Manufacturing (MDM) Regulations on 28 January 2021 under which now Up to 26 mobile manufacturing licenses have been issued to companies.

These companies include famous brands like Samsung, Nokia, Oppo, Techno, Infinix, Vigotal, Qmobile, etc.
