 LONDON: Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has called the withdrawal from Afghanistan a "foolish move" and said the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan was not a major strategy but a political ploy.

According to the International News Agency, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has said that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan has made extremist fighters around the world happy. The US withdrawal gave the Taliban an opportunity to occupy Afghanistan.

Tony Blair, 68, complained that the United States, despite being an ally, kept Britain in the dark about the deal with the Taliban and then the withdrawal process and that such a move would harm global unity and divide all countries into two groups. Concerns have been raised.

The former British prime minister added that the successes achieved in Afghanistan over the past two decades, including the improvement of living standards and the education of girls, have threatened the stability of the country since the US withdrawal.

Criticizing President Joe Biden, Blair wrote that US rulers were pursuing deceptive political slogans to end wars on a permanent basis. The chaotic evacuation move left the Afghan people helpless.
