The Taliban formed a commission against the banned TTP

The Voice of America has claimed in a report that the Afghan Taliban has formed a high-level commission to look into complaints from Pakistan regarding the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The Voice of America revealed in its report that Mullah Hebatullah Akhonzada has been appointed as the head of the three-member committee formed by the Afghan Taliban regarding Pakistan's TTP.

According to the report, the commission has warned the Pakistani Taliban to resolve their issues with Pakistan and go to Pakistan with their families in exchange for a general amnesty from the Pakistani government.

It may be recalled that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is banned in the country while Pakistan maintains that the TTP has targeted the country's security forces and civilians.

Before the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani's government repeatedly denied the allegations.

It should be noted that on Friday, Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry had said that Pakistan intends to put the TTP issue before the Afghan Taliban.

The TTP, formed in 2007 in response to US support in the war on terror, has claimed responsibility for thousands of deaths in dozens of terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
