Panjshir Ahmed Masood claims to have repulsed the Taliban and inflicted heavy losses

The head of the resistance force in Panjshir, Ahmad Masood, has claimed to have repulsed the Taliban, saying that the Taliban have suffered heavy casualties and many fighters are in our custody.

According to the International News Agency, a fierce battle is going on between the Taliban and the resistance force in Panjshir in which both sides are making contradictory claims about their own success and the heavy loss of the opponent.

Ahmed Masood, who heads the anti-Taliban resistance force, claims to have succeeded against the Taliban and forced the Taliban fighters to retreat.

 

Meanwhile, a statement issued by National Resistance Force spokesman Fahim Dashti said that the Taliban in Panjshir had suffered heavy losses and the Taliban had been pushed back while the Taliban fighters and their weapons had also been seized.

A spokesman for the resistance force added that a bomb blast on a mountain in the Dasht-e-Rewat area had surrounded the Taliban and left all their vehicles and ammunition behind, while fierce fighting continued in the Khak-e-Koil area.

On the other hand, Taliban member Inamullah Samangai has rejected Ahmad Masood's claim that some progress has been made in a district of Panjshir and fierce competition is going on there. The Taliban has additionally asserted control of two locales.

Earlier, the management of a Kabul hospital said that one of its branches was located in the Anaba area of ​​Panjshir, where several wounded had been brought in, adding that the Taliban had arrived and taken control of the area.
