 Misbah-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali gave an explanation on meeting the Prime Minister without permission. What was the position of both of them?

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and national Test team captain Azhar Ali have given an explanation to the board after meeting Prime Minister Imran Khan without permission.

According to details, Chief Selector and Head Coach and Test Captain Azhar Ali came to Gaddafi Stadium Lahore to give an explanation where they both met PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani and Chief Executive Wasim Khan separately and gave an explanation.

Both took the position that they had met the Prime Minister to discuss the unemployment of the players due to the closure of departmental cricket and there was no breach of discipline in doing so. However, the board has directed both of them to be cautious in future.

It is to be noted that Misbah-ul-Haq, along with Azhar Ali and Mohammad Hafeez, had gone to the Board Patron and Prime Minister Imran Khan to take up the case of the unemployed cricketer. Expressing frustration over the unauthorized meeting, he sought an explanation.
