Sindh Chief Minister says that there was a lot of pressure for the arrest of Captain (R) Safdar: Muhammad Zubair
PML-N leader and Maryam Nawaz's spokesman Muhammad Zubair said that Sindh Chief Minister said that they have been put under pressure. Murad Ali Shah said that the state is putting severe pressure on the police.
Talking to media outside Aziz Bhatti police station, Zubair said that he had talked to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and said that the Sindh government had no hand in the arrest.
Muhammad Zubair said that the operation was carried out by the state as it is done with the enemies. Captain (R) Safdar was arrested in an illegal manner and with wrong provisions.
I am a past lead delegate and I was not allowed inside the police central command, even the legitimate guides were not allowed inside the police base camp, nor were they allowed to meet," he said.
Muhammad Zubair said that Captain (R) Safdar was arrested by breaking the door, we are political people, we will respond politically, the federal government is using good tactics.
Talking to Geo News, he asked whether slogans were raised against Quaid-e-Azam that he was prosecuted. How did the slogan of "Long live Fatima Jinnah" become insulting?
Former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair also said that our first priority is the bail of Captain Safdar, trying to understand the motives of the case.
He said that the issue of chanting slogans on Mazar-e-Quaid by Capt (retd) Safdar has lagged far behind.
Muhammad Zubair said that if Captain (R) Safdar was not called in an hour, he would give a political response. We will give all the details of what happened in one hour.
It may be recalled that this morning Captain (retd) Safdar has been arrested in a case of violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid.
