A fire broke out in a mobile, laptop and electronics plaza on Gulberg Main Boulevard in Lahore since 6 am.

According to the rescue spokesperson, the fire is intensifying due to laptops and mobile phones. Efforts are being made to remove the goods from the shops in the fire-affected plaza while many shopkeepers are crying in helplessness.

A spokesman for the rescue said that according to initial reports, the fire was caused by a short circuit, 15 fire brigade and rescue vehicles and 60 rescue personnel were taking part in the operation.

According to the rescue spokesman, despite the fire, several traders entered the plaza to unload the goods from the ground floor and the traders put the goods in the containers and took them out.

Eight of the fire brigade's vehicles at the fire station ran out of water, while more vehicles were called in and Main Boulevard Gulberg was closed to traffic.
