Concern over not allowing women's cricket in Afghanistan

The International Cricket Council (ICC) says it is concerned about reports that women's cricket is not allowed in Afghanistan.

"We are witnessing a changing situation in Afghanistan," the ICC spokesman told Australian media.'

An ICC spokesman said the ban on women's cricket in Afghanistan would be discussed at the next council meeting.

It should be noted that Taliban spokesman Ahmadullah Wasiq in an exclusive interview with Australian media said that the Taliban will ban women from playing cricket and other sports in Afghanistan.

He said that women should not be allowed to play cricket as it could lead to nakedness.

Ahmadullah Wasiq said that Islam doesn't permit any attire that makes the body stick out.
