DG ISI General Faiz Hameed reached Kabul

 

 Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has reached Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

A high-level delegation accompanied by DG ISI has also gone to Kabul. A picture of General Faiz Hameed holding a cup of tea in his hand also surfaced at Kabul Airport. According to sources, the Pakistani delegation is visiting Kabul at the invitation of the Taliban's Afghan Shura.

 

Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed will discuss Pak-Afghan security with the Taliban leadership. The meeting will focus on important bilateral issues, including economic and trade relations and security between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

During the visit, the Pak-Afghan border situation, overall security issues will be discussed and it will be ensured that rioters and terrorist organizations do not take advantage of the situation.

The DG ISI will also meet the Pakistani Ambassador to discuss issues related to evacuation and transit from Afghanistan.
